La Villée est née d’une étroite collaboration entre la Distillerie de Biercée et la Brasserie de Silly, toutes deux élaborant des produits belges d’une grande qualité. De ce travail d’équipe résulte une bière blonde désaltérante et délicate. http://www.distilleriedebiercee.be/gamme/biere-villee/ La Villée was created from a close collaboration between the Biercée Distillery and the Silly Brewery, which both produce high-quality Belgian products. The result of this team work is a thirst-quenching and delicate lager.

33 cl bottle @ home. Hazy yellow beer, very minimal white head. Aroma is mostly citrus and sugar, has the likes of a pop drink. Taste is similar. Not bad, but not really beer.

33cl bottle. Great appearance: Vivid yellow color with pure white collar. The citrus flavours are wonderful. But when I drank this blonde, it was almost like I had a radler or lemonade lager. Not what I expected.

Bottle of 25 cl. Well, it’s a nice beer but it lacks of taste and aroma. We’re in front of a mix between beer and limonade... Try it if it’s free.

I naturally get suspicious around flavoured specialty lager as I still have to encounter the first one that does not put me off. This one is made for the Distillerie de Biercée, which, among other things, makes ’citroenjenever’ (a kind of sweet gin flavoured with lemon - and one of the few kinds of beverage I utterly detest). Anyway, let’s have a go at this: off-white, irregular, unstable head over a cloudy ochre blonde beer. Aroma dominated by that awful ’citroenjenever’, bread, grassy hops, coriander, soap, limoncello. Taste kicks off with a ’lemon fresh’ sweetness in a liqueurish kind of way, vaguely reminiscent of limoncello again, then some drying coriander sets in built on a bland and thin pale malt sweetness with quite low carbonation, very faint hops in the finish and till deep into the throat, the ’diluted limoncello’ effect keeps dominating. The only thing which could have made this worse than it is now, is a cloying, sugary sweetness, but Silly fortunately managed to keep that to an acceptable limit; that does not take away the fact that this is again a terrible flavoured pale lager, the beer style I like the least of all.

Bottle . Pours unclear blonde, good white head . Smell is straight lemon ( is this a radler ?? ) Taste is likewise . Radler , bit soapy . Very bald taste, with a tiny bit of wheat in the back . bit unintense , compared that a regular , other industrial radler has the same amount of taste at half of this ABV ...

Drunk from 33cl bottle bought at Malting Pot. Truly disgusting cloying sweet artificial citrusy flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy yellow with small white head. Medium body with soft carbonation, sweet, moderate acidic and lightly bitter with coriander and citrusy notes.

(La Villée) On tap at cafe Moortgat, Arnhem. 250 ml. Hazy body, bright golden in colour. Big white and thick head. Good retention, medium lacing left on the glass. Aroma has lots of perfume and lemon. Taste also of perfume, yeast, sugars, lemon. Thin body, soft carbonation. This one reminded me of cheap made radlers, not so good.
