Glouglouburp (1852), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Mar 7, 2007 Tap at Vices & Versa. Cloudy redish brown body without much head. Candied fruits and red apples skin. What? some sourness? A touch of wine vinegar! Leafy hops with no bitterness. Not even a Barley Wine as far as I’m concerned. Alcohol in your face. There had to be something wrong with that keg or the batch. I found this Rascal (Polissonne) insulting, how ironic. GonZoBeeR (1984), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Sep 15, 2005 Aroma:pineapple hops...

Ungstrup (10801), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 24, 2005 [Had this together with Josh, when he hit 5500 ratings thouh not all entered on RB - it was an honor to share a milestone with one of the masters] A very hazy dark orange beer with a nice beige head. The aroma is very light hoppy combined with light notes of whiskey. The flavor is sweet and very malty, with the alcohol being very present and being felt on the palate. The flavor contains notes of wood and whiskey. A nice night cap after a long interesting day of beerhunting in Quebec - I’m tired. Oakes (6779), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 15, 2005 B5.5K Bright copper colour with a thin whisp of foam. Toffeeish, slightly whiskeyish malt aroma. Fairly rich malt palate - toffee, demerara, brown bread crust. Some alcoholic heat lends dryness. As with some of their other beers, however, the individual elements aren’t coming together. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that this batch was aged in whiskey barrels either.
