Any first impressions?
-A veil of foam protects the cloudy brownish-red.
-Fantôme-y, chocolatey, spicy yeast forms an appealing aroma with a few dusty corners.
-Leveled tart fruitiness admirably plays off the chocolatey sweetness, as the yeast expresses itself without restraint.
-The soft effervescence and lean maltiness produces an authentically Belgian mouthfeel.

What if you dig deeper?
-A complex fruitiness (cherries? black grapes?) roams within, yet never distinctly enunciates its presence.
-It ends with a dry yeast character and some cocoa powder allusions.
-The delicate flavor interplay is masterful and intricate; these Fantôme-y idiosyncracies are impressive.
-This smaller version of Tête de Mule (that’s my hunch) got more and more impressive throughout the glass, and its classy farmhouse character was intelligently laid out. Another beautiful Voie Maltée beer.
