On tap at brewpub. A clear straw with white head. Pale malt aroma. Flavor is malty, somewhat sweet. Lightly herbal finish. Light body, somewhat watery. Very commercial-ish.

A golden ale with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma,a grainy malt with German hops, grassy, light lemon. In mouth, a classic pils, grainy malt, mineral notes, nice and smooth. On tap at Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 3 2012.

Originally rated October 2006. Sampled at the pub itself, in Jonquière, Quebec. Poured a golden-blonde colour with good lacing all around, but no carbonation. Mild perfume of fruit as the aroma, with very light farm odour (which are actually not offensive). Slight citrus start with a good cereal taste, a crisp finish and a dry aftertaste. Nice refreshing grainy blond ale.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2007 Any first impressions?
-A foam screen dissipates into the very pale, clear golden.
-A vacuous aroma disappoints with its few cereals and absent hopping.
-Tame citrus fruit and basic cereal sweetness make up an unassuming flavor profile.
-Its body is decently constructed and softly carbonated.

What if you dig deeper?
-The nearly-empty finish offers but a few white bread-like, starchy cereals.
-This is definitely lacking in hoppiness (although some grassiness is found), but that is surely intentional; this is the house blond for those uncles who (perhaps unknowingly) dared to enter a brewpub.
-Honeyed sweetness develops some bubblegummy notes.
-This is no Germaine, or Cerna Hora, that’s for sure.
-This was a cleanly-brewed replacement for macro lovers, a boring pint for those looking for crafty lagers. Nothing wrong about it, nothing great about it. I’d also like to know if this is truly a lager. I have a feeling it’s more of a generic blond ale than a helles.

A couple of times, on tap at the brewpub.

A hazy yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet malty and rather hoppy with some fresh notes of citrus mingling in. The flavor is sweet malty and freshly hoppy. A nice Pils.

Grainy cereal malts and lightly spicy herbal hops greet the nose. Clear golden blonde with low but lasting white head. Cereal malts with toasty and bready undertones and grassy, spicy hops to counterpoint and restrained finishing bitterness. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Sampled at the brewpub with Oakes, Rastacouere and Ungstrup.

Bright straw colour. Malt-accented aroma is spicy, slightly sweaty. Clean, sweetish, with some pale malt notes. Functional example.
