Bière hybride puisqu’elle change de famille tous les ans au gré du brasseur. Un très bon parfum de sirop d’érable sans être sucrée. Une amertume veloutée et soyeuse en bouche. (5-8% abv)

473 ml can from Broue Ha Ha, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Brilliantly clear copper with a nice tan head. Aroma: Earthy and woodsy caramel/toffee maltiness, light esters, no hop aroma to speak of, hits the mark. Palate: Medium body, moderate+ carbonation, a little crisp/astringent. Flav.: Quite like the nose...earthy/woodsy caramel/toffee, light esters, no hop flavour either; off-dry to lightly sweet with low-ish bitterness and a very malty finish.

Bang on for style.

Belle robe; bon goût à température pièce. Arôme décevante pour un produit d’érable.

Pours a clear brown with a thin offwhite head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of light maple syrup, toasted cereals. Taste is pretty dry, full of cereals with a light maple syrup finish. Body is moderate and carbonation high. OK

on tap on the premises @ VM quebec city. 4.8%. clear medium dark golden amber with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. caramel malts, some caramelized nuts, maple syrup - delicate flavors - gently simmering maple water with its sweetness, never cloying though, grass, chalk, bit of metal. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, semi-sweet herbal-grassy finish. linear amber malt bill that luckily leaves place to maple syrup subtleties. interesting maple offering - as it is clearly not fermented, which is all to its advantage.

On tap at brewpub. Copperish amber with a fine veil and a nice white head. Flavor is caramel malt ; basically, what I would be expecting from any other generic amber. Nothing extraordinary in the hops department. Where is the maple syrup supposed to be? Medium body, unctuous mouthfeel. Average carbonation. A big disappointment.
