2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
on tap at festibière de québec. hazy light brown with a small off-white head, some retention. intense bourbon notes along with booze, light acidity - also tannins, red fruitiness, spices - although belgian character has disappeared, overshadowed by strong bourbon presence, butter - diacetyls, cardboard, oak, hint of smoke. moderate to low carbonation, light to medium body - oily and boozy, harsh grassy-spicy-piney finish. no improvement from initial non barreled brew combined to a barrel misuse.
