Neutrale neus, fris biertje, heel fijn van smaak vooraan in de mond. Licht zoetig van nasmaak, om dan af te ronden met die hint van jenever

nice beer- the most interesting element is the palate length. Oily- lingering flavours of orange peel and herbs. Tasty and moreish

Bottle: Medium to bigger sized, fluffy creamy white foamy head which changes with regular speed. A cloudy yellow colored beer. Aromas of grains, juniper, puke, yeast, some fruit like apricot and berries, tea herbs, cocos, hint of carbo gass, almond and marzepin. Flavours of lots of herbs and spices (juniper, pepper, mint, tea herbs, etc), but packed in a creamy jacket. Also a nice bitter tone, floral hints, creamy, warm and malty. Aftertaste is grainy, floral, malty, bit warm with a herbal floral tone. Low to medium carbo, soft creamy close to silky mouthfeel, medium to fuller body and a creamy texture. Quite an excentric beer with an own character. Balanced. Alcohol well hidden. Nice!

Another nice ale from du Bocq. Hints of the gin come through in aroma and taste and adds a nice warmth. Color is amber with silky head. Gin compliments the malt profile of this beer. A pleasure to drink.

Voilà une blonde qui mérite d'être connue. Son visuel n'est pas extraordinaire, voilée, belle mousse aux bulles moyennes. Mais ses arômes sont plaisant. Les baies de genièvre, notes florales, et sirop. Le nez laissait à penser que le sucre allait être présent et c'est le cas. Toutefois il ne domine pas et se marie très bien avec la légère acidité et amertume. L'équilibre est très bien maîtrisé. Bonne longueur.

(bottle, 75cl) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a loose foamy white head. Mildly grainy pale malty aroma with hints of juniper and a delicately hoppy touch. Shy bitter flavour with a mildly malty sweetness, medium bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. Pale malt-character with notes of juniper as well as flowery accents; sweet-bitter and mildly fruity finish with a well-masked level of alcohol. Okay. 12.XII.12

Bouteille(0.75l): Pale greenish golden, hazy, small and stable loose white head, sweet pale malt, juniper and herbal hops in the nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, a bit fizzy; becomes hoppier and more aromatic in the sweet and tart finish. Not superb, but quite good...

33cl bottle @ home. Clear light golden color, full sized, lightly creamy off-white head. Smell malts, yeast, a hint of banana, fruitpeel. Taste malts, yeast, again a hint of banana and lightly some other fruityness, and finally something weird I can’t quite put my finger on. Pretty high carbonated, medium body.

33cl as Wambrechies Blonde. Dorée/orangée, devenant trouble sur la fin, col fin blanc. Arôme donne bien le bouquet agréable de baies de genièvre, note aussi un malt agréable allant vers le biscuité léger. Palais est très agréable sans pour cela être transcendent. Je note un profile doux sur baies de genièvre, je suppose que ce dernier a été rajouté après le brassage? Bref, on retrouve un profile bien belge qui est ici mis en avant par ce rajout de genièvre, sans quoi la bière aurait été d’une triste banalité. En reste un profile de bouche assez doux allant sur le fruité et herbacé laissant une brève note d’amertume. J’ai déjà pu déguster de nombreuses bières avec ces baies, cette version est très appréciable.

From a 330ml bottle (exp 12/12). Appears clear golden in the glass with a medium white head and scanty lace. Nose is honey sweet golden malts with a light fruity hop presence and soft spiciness. I get none of the advertised juniper berries. Taste is quite sweet but pleasant with a nice Belgian style yeasty presence. Fullish bodied. Like a decent Belgian Blonde Ale.
