3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Choos (507) - Taylors Hill, - MAR 1, 2004
Strong citrus aroma of bitter orange. Cloudy yellow heading toward peach. Huge head that took me ages to pour the whole 330ml bottle into a pint glass. Leaves lots of lacing. Big citrus and alcohol taste with a hint of apricot and incredibly well blended hops. Finishes slightly sour & bubblegummy with noticeable bitterness. Reasonable mouthfeel with a fair bit of lazy carbonation.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 floydian1 (546) - FNQ, AUSTRALIA - MAY 31, 2012
From a 330ml bottle (exp 12/12). Appears clear golden in the glass with a medium white head and scanty lace. Nose is honey sweet golden malts with a light fruity hop presence and soft spiciness. I get none of the advertised juniper berries. Taste is quite sweet but pleasant with a nice Belgian style yeasty presence. Fullish bodied. Like a decent Belgian Blonde Ale.

Bottle 3cl, a clear golden beer with very huge head. Nose is on apricot and peach. Aroma is very bitter and astringent with again peach notes, grass, soap like notes, bit unbalanced hops character, phenol, juniper. Huge astringency at the finish, not so pleasant.

Orange with a small pale head that disappears quickly. Aroma is peach, honeysuckle, juniper and hay. Flavour is of honey, juniper, chamomile. Slightly dry finish with a bit of a herbal aftertaste. Quite different but a little too flowery for me.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm, 11 July 2011) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with flowers, grass, some juniper twigs and something undefined herbal. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of citrus, mild spices and gentle jenever hints coming through towards the finish. Slightly more than medium body, fairly dry, with a grassy bitterness. Nice and well balanced.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 erickok (1086) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 17, 2011
Golden and clear with a solid white head. Aroma has bread, winegum, spices, wheat and honey. Complex oily body full of delicate flavour. Aftertaste is quite dry and reveal more elements to this great beer. Very - almost too - easy to drink as well. An interesting and delicate beer. Too bad it’s pretty expensive. (3,25 EUR, 33cl bottle)
