2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 brewrater (92) - akron, Ohio, USA - NOV 21, 2004
I thought this tasted a lot like Labatt Canadian only to find (on this site) they are, in fact, the same. Better than the industrial output of "The Three". Comparable to the best Molson puts out.
All that to say.....keep drinking the micros.

Pours golden with lots of carbonation. Not much head. Grainy. Low hops. Thin body. Nasty stuff overall.

"Canadian Ale" Couldn’t tell a difference from a labbatt blue at all, it’s another piss beer.
0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 collieman (191) - montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 10, 2004
Atleast it’s a ale. Shit, but of all ths shit avalible in shit bars, this shit is best. Bright yellow color, soda like white head, gone in a second. Almost has flavour, malt and corn, but 1/2 second on the tonge and it’s taste gone. Dry, very dry for an ale. No aftertaste. An ale trying to be a pilsner. If you’re in montreal and the choices are "Blue/Dry, Molson dry/export, budwiser and 50," go for 50. Just say "SANKANT"

Bright yellow colour, thin fading white head. Corn/malt aroma, no hops. Flavour has a touch of fruitiness, but the thin body and raspy finish ruin it. Pretty shitty stuff.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 shintriad (700) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 25, 2004
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2006 Proof that Quebecers do not necessarily have good taste, as this beer is all over there. Cheap, metallic, slightly sweet and carbonated like pop. At first, seems to taste like something, and then the sensation is gone.

Labatt is typically one of the better canadian beers, much better than molson in my opinion. This is a good alternative to those and at a decent price.

Clear gold body with instant-fading bubbly head. Light sweet/malty aroma with evident hints of corn and CO2. Taste is well balanced but almost unexistent. Final leaves a very subtle corny and bready aftertaste. It is very hard to believe that some people still considers this as a "men’s beer"!!
