Bottle - Golden amber in color with a thin whitish head. A very slight amount of hops in the aroma. Only slight hop and malt in flavor. A small step above the American macros, but not much.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 fly (1357) - austin, Tejas, USA - MAY 26, 2004
I mean, like this is REALLY good, right? If I suck up and say all sorts of nice things then those maple leaf sporting guys will all be my friend and send me beer, right? Mmmmm good! (at least in being rather bland and nondememo it lessens its ability to greatly offend)
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 beanmedic (324) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 24, 2004

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 brewshthereen (316) - Oregon, USA - MAY 17, 2004
I found this to be quite refreshing. Some slight hop/malt taste. Overall, if nothing better is around, drink this.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 hotstuff (3213) - Indiana, USA - MAY 15, 2004
Bottle. Poured a medium sized creamy and smooth white head that contained fine-medium sized bubbles. Fast rising carbonation, transparent and a yellow-gold hue. The aroma was malty, sweet and some grassy notes. The flavor was malt, hops and a little fruit flavor. The mouthfeel was a little tingly and the texture was light. The lacing was very sparse.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 thedm (4116) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 13, 2004
This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body was carbonated transparent and yellow orange colored. The aroma was weak with only a mild malt hop note to it. The palate was slightly astringent from start to finish. The flavor was a simple malt hop one with just a little taste to it. Not much, but better that no taste at all!
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 MrManning (1942) - London, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2004
Funny how a few years ago I said you had to be 50 to enjoy this stuff. Now it actually tastes decent. Not good, but decent. better than Blue or any similar marcos. Decent hoppyness with a slightly small fruit taste. At least semi-enjoyable.
1.3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 tupalev (2708) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 10, 2004
Bland bland stuff. Never had it on tap before, so I tried it when at a concert on the weekend. Actually a little more body than Labatt Blue and a slightly more "malty" or thicker taste, but I’m really searching saying that. I wonder what this used to be like a few decades ago.
