Not too shabby at all, a step up from the blue. The Canadians aren’t totally clueless.

Labatt 50 is a beer for old men. Being in my 20’s, I find myself enjoying Old Man beers every so often, and this one is a classic example. Nothing outstanding and unique, just a solid ale with some sour taste. This is a staple of Toronto indie music venues. For the best Labatt 50 experience, drink it from a can while watching something on TV that makes you mad. Perfect.

This semmed to be popular with the Ontario- French when I was young. Tried it again recently Much better with a mature and seasoned palate. Still a good ale.

for a mass-produced commercial beer this is tasting quite good! Way better than Molson stuff available in Quebec.

A very good quality ale beer! Particularly great taste and aroma, goes down very smoothly. Try this instead of some other Labatt offerings!

I notice a trend in the reviews. Most people from Quebec seem to like this ale a lot. Well I’m no exception. This is my ’every day’ beer. Does it mesure up to microbrewery beers? No. But it’s my favorite of all the macrobreweries. Nice golden color, true ale taste with a nice little fruity finish to it. The head is typical macro though. Too bubbly and gone in seconds but other than that, a solid brew. Hard to find outside Quebec. I think it’s called Labatt Canadian Ale in the U.S. but I don’t know if it’s as good.
