Again this one is only marginally better than other macro swill, but I would only drink it when there are really no other good options.

My friend’s into craft beer and this is his favourite macro. I’ve tried to like this, I really have, but it has the strongest cardboard flavour of any beer I’ve ever tried. Maybe it would be good fishing? Seems like the flavours would mix well with a fish gut aroma.

Looks like I’m one of the few people that likes this beer. I was always told to stay away from this beer, because the 50 in the name refers to the minimum age to drink it. I’m now 52, so I tried it. just kidding. When OKeefe went out of business, I was forced to find a new ale, I tried both Molson Export and Labatt 50 and while I prefer the Molson, there’s nothing wrong with this beer. A nice ale with a mild bitterness.

12 oz. bottle @ Reuben’s (not the nice one). The waiter warned me that it was an old man’s beer. I guess old men like terrible beer because this tastes all sorts of funky. Glad that I can just check it off.

The Beer Store 473ml can: Pours a golden color with an OK looking white head. Aroma is pale malt and some sugar. Taste is way better than I was expecting. Light and it goes down very smoothly. Inoffensive and uncomplex, but perfectly drinkable.

341ml brown bottle. Golden pour, white head with light lacing. Fruity nose, some slight lemon- citrus there. Taste is grainy, dry, light bitterness at the end. Light bodied, medium carbonation. Not terribly exciting, a macro through and through, but a nostalgia brand for me as my dad used to always keep this beer around the house.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Metalchopz (1429) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 15, 2012
Originally rated July 2005. Old-timer-beer-gone-popular-again-with-the-young-c Pours a golden colour with a small white head and medium retention. The carbonation is active and the lacing is minimal. The nose is strong with bitterness and has a mild scent of malt thrown in there. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. The taste is pretty mild with grain malt and light bitterness. Goes down very well. This is the go-to beer I usually take when I go in bars, and has a better hop finish than all other macros found. One of Labatt’s better products for sure (and I still drink it regularly nowadays in 2012).

341ml bottle pours a golden color with a small white head and a few specks of lace. Aroma is slightly fruity with some faint grains and hops. Taste is malty sweet with a slight fruitiness and a modest hop bitterness. Slightly better than Blue.

Not horrible. You can actually detect some hops in the flavour here, then a sweet bready aftertaste. Inoffensive.

Looks like a pale ale/a lager. Was better then I thought it would be but probably won’t drink again. Had the 473ml can version. Really watery at 1st with a little fruitty flavour/sweetness. Heavy from the hops, & mabye I tasted them a little. Flavour goe’s away rather quickly but there is aftertase and yer not left wioth dry lips so in some ways its like a dry beer and in some ways it’s not. cheer’s.
