1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 thedm (4126) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 30, 2003
This bottled brew poured a large szied head of very finely sized white colored long lasting bubbles that left behind a carbonated transparent straw yellow colored body and a fair lace. The aroma is a very mild malt hop one and the mouthfeel is mildy bubbly thin and crisp with a very smooth finish. The flavor is mild with a little malt and a little hops.

Better than most American Lights - even better than regular Blue. Worth buying if on sale.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2011 Bottle. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Almost no aroma, very light malt. Watery body with almost no flavor. It’s drinkable, but so is water.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 ChainGangGuy (3837) - Canton, Georgia, USA - JAN 1, 2010
Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, yellow body with no real appreciable head formation -- looks dead right along with my hopes for a quality brew.
Smell: The beer smells of sweet, glistening corns and bargain bin grains. Ah well, you can’t win’m all.
Taste: Sweet, downright scandalously corny taste with a lesser touch of simple grains. It’s all quite watery, mind you. Light, faint touch of bitterness, though not discernible hop flavors. Empty, watery finish.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Disappointing and groan-inducing, though, being the light version of the Labatt blue, it’s at least less awful.

Reviewed from notes.
Poured into a pint glass. The color is a pretty light golden color. A good dose of carbonation bubbles and a semi-decent white head. The nose is a bit grainy without much there. Nothing horrifically off-putting, though there is a bit of a metallic astringency, which starts to come out more in the flavor and especially the feel. Not a good beer and I would not recommend this.

Canadian light beer carries a similar taste to the American Standard. Though I think the alcohol % is sometimes higher in our light brews. Does this make any sense?

22 oz can from Smiths. Pours a very clear golden color with a medium fizzy white head. The aroma s light malts, and some metallic notes. The flavor is clean, somewhat crisp, very watery and light malts. Unoffensive. At least they seem to use good water.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2010 Wow this really is like water. It is not offensive at all but there is next to no aroma maybe a tiny bit of malt. The appearance is straw gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma.... nothing. The palate is watery. Overall this is water.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2004 i like this beer in bottles. tastes good to me for some reason. Cereal grains are masked by the lightness. Not quite as crisp as id like. Good for 5.99 12 pack and much better than natty or busch. still a bad beer by all means though.

Bottle. Poured a very pale golden yellow with minimal head. Aroma had some sweet malt notes and a bit of hops. Had a watered down taste picking up a bit of malts. Heavy amount of carbonation in the beer.
