A decent light brew at the corner bar or friend’s home when there isn’t much else.

Bottle from Strathroy Alehouse August 2013. Pale amber colour and very clear with a puff of white foam. Nothing here to excite the senses.

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Boulevard Ales pint glass From: My brother Price: N/A Purchased: N/A Consumed: July 26, 2014 Misc.: N/A Poured a pale, clear color with two fingers of bubbly white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom. Minimal spots of lacing on the sides of the glass. Average-to-below average retention on the top all the way down. Smelled corn, skunky malts, pilsner notes, honey, grass and cereal. Tasted similar to the nose. Got honey, corn malts, sourdough bread, grass, cereal, light banana and faint Circus Peanuts. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, somewhat skunky finish. Somewhat refreshing. Not a bad American Adjunct Lager, but not great.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with minimal head. Aroma is mostly grains, taste is light bitter and follows suit. Light bodied with a thin and watery texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Meh, not the worst beer I’ve had.

Pours a light yellow color. Hardly any flavor. Very watered down and little corn malt flavor. An easy drinking beer that is decent for a light beer but lacks any character.

Labatt Blue Light pours a pale yellow color with a big foamy white head. It has good carbonation and clarity. The aroma and flavor is similar to regular Labatt Blue but lighter. The aroma has rice cereal malts and grassy straw like hops in the nose. The flavor has light sweet cereal malts up front that turn dry with a crisp citrusy bitter finish.

Mmmm...more after hockey beer. Here goes. I’ve had this more than enough times in my life out of pint glasses and pilseners. The appearance was a clear light yellow color with a quarter of a finger’s worth of white head that dissipates immediately. There is no lacing. The smell was an over-cooked corn perhaps some sort of old vegetable-ness. The taste was bland but also somewhat sweet. There was no aftertaste nor finish. On the palate, it sat exceptionally light. Honestly, there really isn’t much else to say. Overall, it is what it is for the masses. For me, I most likely wouldn’t have this again.

Bottle: Clear, fizzy gold with a fluffy white head. Corn, grain aroma. Taste is light, barley and lemon.... Sweet, but not overly so. At the top of the light beer selections out there... Pretty decent for what it is.

Transfer from BA review on 2-29-12 - oured from can into pint glass Appearance – The brew has light golden colored body and formed a large head upon pouring. The head faded fast giving almost no lacing. Smell – Not much in the nose at all. A little bit of breadiness and some corn, but not much else. Taste - A very light corn taste with the slightest bit of sweet caramel. Mouthfeel – Very light bodied and a moderate level of carbonation. It is kind of like drinking a flavored seltzer water, but with a bit less carbonation. Overall – As for light beers, this is not the greatest to say the least. If you really want a light beer do something like a Sam Adams light or a other lower abv. beers (such as Guinness Draught). This is not the best.

Light golden although not as pale as most other light beers. Pretty similar watered down taste. As far as light lagers go, you could do worse.
