2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear golde3n amber with a bubbly white head that soon drops to the rim, short vertical lace strips. Taste is a little malt and a lot of adjunct joined by crisp carbonation in the palate. Nothing else happens. Really bland for a 6%er. Canít justify it.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale gold with a half finger of white head. Aroma is somewhat sweet with corn and grains. Taste follows aroma. Meh, kinda underwhelming for a malt likka.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Weak as water with practically no taste or flavor. The blue glass bottle was the best part.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
12oz bottle from a Tops grocery store in Buffalo, NY. Pale straw with a trace of white head; unappealling rice flower aroma; watery citrus flavour; and a watery corn syrup finish. My first encounter with this style of beer, and not one Iím tempted to revisit.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Lightly smoky barley malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head. Sweet creamy barley malt and mildly bitter alcohol flavor. Man, this is what Iíve been waiting for - A Light Malt Likka!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Labatt Blue Royale Light has a very thick, white head, a mostly clear, yellow-gold appearance, quite noticeable fine white particles roiling about, and a surprisingly heavy amount of lacing clinging to the glass. Aroma is of pungent, sweet & sour grain (think Genesee Ice). Taste is of sweet, malt liquor-like beer, a bit of alcohol, and even a back-note of hops. Again, think of Genesee Ice. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Labatt Blue Royale Light finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. How this is a light beer with 140 calories, I would like to know. RJT

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear gold body that supports a weak near white head. The aroma offers up a bit of an odd mix of pear and apple esters with mild spicy to dank hops and then a sliver lime mixed with chemicals. The taste is largely sweet and estery with sweet pear and red apple fruitiness as well as a mild vague sort of Noble hop note. Behind all of this lurks mild chemical booze and an odd sort of fruity jalapeno chili pepper meat deal. Overall this isnít too bad and stays surprisingly away from being overly sweet.

1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. Pretty much garbage beer. Was excited to find a Labatt beer, I have not yet to try. Might be one of the worst beers I have ever had.
