Bottle. Lightly smoky barley malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head. Sweet creamy barley malt and mildly bitter alcohol flavor. Man, this is what I’ve been waiting for - A Light Malt Likka!

Labatt Blue Royale Light has a very thick, white head, a mostly clear, yellow-gold appearance, quite noticeable fine white particles roiling about, and a surprisingly heavy amount of lacing clinging to the glass. Aroma is of pungent, sweet & sour grain (think Genesee Ice). Taste is of sweet, malt liquor-like beer, a bit of alcohol, and even a back-note of hops. Again, think of Genesee Ice. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Labatt Blue Royale Light finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. How this is a light beer with 140 calories, I would like to know. RJT

12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear gold body that supports a weak near white head. The aroma offers up a bit of an odd mix of pear and apple esters with mild spicy to dank hops and then a sliver lime mixed with chemicals. The taste is largely sweet and estery with sweet pear and red apple fruitiness as well as a mild vague sort of Noble hop note. Behind all of this lurks mild chemical booze and an odd sort of fruity jalapeno chili pepper meat deal. Overall this isn’t too bad and stays surprisingly away from being overly sweet.

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. Pretty much garbage beer. Was excited to find a Labatt beer, I have not yet to try. Might be one of the worst beers I have ever had.

Pours a pale golden with a small head.

The aroma is clay, light fruit, & cooked vegetables.

The flavor is citrusy with some cola, some yeast, and some bread dough.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw body with a minimal fizzy white head that quickly vanished. The nose is pretty bland and boring with some sweet corn syrup and not much else. The flavor is just as bad, some awful corn syrup and a slight white grape flavor on the finish. Light bodied and sticky with fizzy carbonation. Pretty awful stuff.

24 ounces. Labatts take on bud light platinum. Much better than platinum. Actually drinkable.
