You may ask "why would you bother writing a review for an average at best, dull, macro lager"? Well, I would then just turn it back on you and ask "Why the heck would you bother reading reviews on a average at best, dull, marco lager"? At any rate - to the review - this is an average at best, dull, macro lager. -A quick note- ...I find it funny/unfortunate that Americans think Canadian lagers are skunky. In actuality they aren’t, but the brewers’ bizarre desicions to package their product in green bottles for export leads to the skunk issue. Have a fresh pint at a Canadian bar someday and you will find that the beer is not skunky (although if you come all the way to Canada, we can certainly offer you better beer than Labbat Blue). Crisp, clean, boring and flavorless, but not skunky.

Your typical Canadian pale lager. Slight skunkiness but not as skunky as Molson or Moosehead. A decent beer with no preservatives. Nothing special but heads and shoulders above the American Macro brews.

Bottle. Pale yellow pour, no head. Nothing to special. Aroma is malts, grass, and corn. Flavor was all malts. Very light body.

My least favorite of the Canadian beers. Molson is much better in my American opinion.

This is the very first canadian beer I ever had. I was impressed because of the flavor was twice as strong as most american pale lagers. I buy this beer occasionally. Its good enough to keep me coming back.

Pours clearish yellow with fizzy white head. Smell is lightly malty, but not overly sweet. Taste is nicely crisp with a light, fairly clean malt flavor and light bitterness. Crisp carbonation and light to medium body as expected for a pale lager. Pretty good for the style, and I prefer this over a lot of others.

tastes like clean water. You can tell the corn is there but I’m really not upset about it this time. I actually like the mouth feel on this thing. Not super fizzy. Not flat. Creamy... Well... Almost. Refreshing and I dont think I believe the 5 percent. Seems too light for that. I could drink this one all day.

Clear pale yellow with a thin fizzy white head. Aroma is light grain and sourness with an innuendo of musty basement smell. This liquid sliced white bread beer actually has some flavor! Very mildly grainy, mildly soda cracker-like on the tongue with a noticeable corn aftertaste and a barely perceptible bitter finish with a whisper of a note of sweet malt. The wispy white head lasts through the sipping, leaving fine lace on the sides of the glass. Labatt Blah will do in a desperate situation.
