24 ounce can. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear gold color with about an inch and a half white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent. Aroma is sweet and grainy malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also a slight bitterness noticable. Mouthfeel/body is light but not watery, and it’s also a bit slick, surprisingly. Carbonation is good. Rating it for the style of beer this is, I’d say it’s close to average overall. It’s not an awful brew, but it’s not exactly good either. For $1.19 a can, I can’t complain too much. I’d drink it again for that price, especially if there weren’t any better choices available.

341ml bottle from tbs. really solid pale lager. reccomended as an alcohol delivery system. beer. also im working to tick the most often rated beers brewed in ontario. will buy again. perhaps ive reached the pepsican stage of my ratebeer journy. the 401 was closed today between highway 8 and homer watson and as i was sitting, stuck in traffic for hours all i wanted to do was pound pale lager. maybe its working in the industry that causes it, maybe it seeing the dark side and beer losing its romance, maybe its jessem. whatever it is. it makes this beer taste good.

Typical macro brew from top to bottom. Buy this if you want a very slightly above average macro with a high ABV.

A really big can from a friend. Clear light golden color with a fair head, butsurprisingly very little taste, other than faint hops even for a light Pilsner and expecially for an Ice beer. Ok but why bother with the icing/

I can remember a time when Labatt made good beer. It was exciting to visit Canada and get some good Labatt’s, with higher alcohol content and better flavor than most stateside beers. That time appears to have passed. Lightly skanky and corny-sweet flavor. Not much hop character. The best I can say about it is that it is not horrible, but it is also not one of the better tasting macros. ABV is a little hier than expected at 5.6. My advice is stay away. Have a Ballantines or a Colt .45 instead. Or a good beer. Ooohhh Caanaada... what happened to yooouur beeeer??

Clear yellow with a thick white head. This had a sweet, but rather smooth flavor. Not too bad.

Gee, I can hardly believe I haven’t rated this onr! Well, from a twentyfour ounce can purchased at the McHenry and Harrison Avenue "Kroger’s", set in the slummy Westwood ’hood in Cincinnati, Ohio. Okee-dokee, this one pours a golden hued brew with a tall. wfite head of foam and a watery grain aroma. Tastewise, it’s pretty much a generic macro brew but smoother than most of that ilk. Plus... it’s cheap!
