2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 Slick (1971) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - AUG 14, 2004
Decent golden color, small white head that faded quick and left nothing behind. The aroma was light malt some fruit hints and maybe some hops. The taste came off as sweet and mild malt with a mild fruit and alcohol presence.Over all it’s not the worst but still i could definately pass on making this a goto brew.

I had this late one night at the fishing lodge on Eagle Lake in Ontario. Smooth with a trace of malt, and some tangy hop flash at the end. Pretty good for a malt liquor, and the alcohol was hidden pretty well for the higher level. Quick fizzy head.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Belly Full O Beer (57) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUL 27, 2004
An easy drinking high alcohol beer. Not much of note as side from %. No head to speak of and tastes only mildly stronger than Blue. Most often used for effect not enjoyment. Unless you only enjoy the effect.

The evil empire’s stab at a Canuck malt likker I suppose. Out of the can it pours a medium straw color....crystal clarity.....small mega-pilsner-like head that vanishes quickly....medium-low carbonation activity . Smells like other Labatt mega pils...slight waft of grains/adjuncts and hop except almost over powered by carbonation and alcohol esters. Starts smooth (not at all sharp) builds to a modest lager type fullness with malty-veggy grain tastes and finishes light with a strange lingering light banana like taste created between the adjunct sweetness and the alcohol.
All in all, good smooth beer-like drink for getting greased quickly....if you’re into that.

A bit more flavor than regular Labatt. Must be the extra alcohol. The aroma is hoppy with floral overtones.

Thanks to dberger to bringing this to the RB Philly gathering. Labatt's ICE is my favorite Ice beer. Labatt's Maximum Ice is a high alcohol "cousin" of the regular Ice. Yeasty alcohol flavor, and a chalky aftertaste. In the right circumstance (get drunk quick) I could drink this beer.
2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Probiere (992) - Iowa, USA - FEB 8, 2004
Corny, slightly-hopped aroma.....sweet and watery, somewhat flat. Surprisingly inoffensive and even pretty drinkable. Who'd a'thunkit? Had at RB Philly gathering February 2004.
