Generic lager with an artificially inflated alcohol content style-flavour. Grainy. Slightly "impure" flavour. Mediocre, but ultimately (just barely) drinkable. A hint of dryness.

served in a big 24 oz can. Poured a light yellow with a white head. Aroma was skunky and metalic. Flavor was alcohol and metal and some corn.

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2009 24oz slam can. Somehow, I trust this swill more than Steel Reserve. It seems to have less chemicals/additives in it. Still has a fair amount of metal, though. Tastes like labatt ice with a half shot of vodka added. Defiantly fortified. Not terrible if your wife only leaves you with $2 for the weekend.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2011 S3L2T4F3O10: max ice by labatt. Smell is a bit like cheap corny lager or malt liquor. I poured this into a big 24 ounce heavy glass mug. Nice streams of sparkling carbonation can be observed within. This is fairly strong on the taste buds with a relative amount of offense. It is not as strong as many rude cheap ice beers I’ve had. This almost uncouth beer has a decent amount of tingly carbonation on the palate. Does not become really vulgar, at first, anyway. That sharp aroma of malt liquor never quite develops on the palate. Not much stronger than the typical labatt ice. I found this easier to drink when compared to many appalling ice beers. Overall, not really bad, anyhow.

What did you expect from a broke college kid trying to get drunk?!? I got this only because I had three dollars in my pocket, and I noticed the strategically placed "7.1" on the can. As far as rating this swill, it pours a piss yellow, with fluffy head that lasts as long as a high school dude’s first time with a chick. It’s aroma is slightly skunky, with some alcohol burn on the end. It basically tastes like that as well, but with more alcohol on the finish. If anything the alcohol saved this from being the worst beer I’ve ever had, hence it’s total score of 1. I t seems as though a lot of "thousand" club members have tried this as well, which begs the question: is this the best malt liquor? Cheers!

Canned. Dark gold body with a bright white head. The aroma was corny with some bologna. There were some notes of old dirty clothes. The taste had some bread crust and lots corn. There was also some booze. Harsh.

Light yellow pour with a big short lived head. This is what it is. A cheap higher octane beer that does the job. Taste is mediocre corn, biscuit and a slightly tinny finish.

24 oz. can, as "MAX ICE." Pours some frothy beastliness, to be sure. Head leaves scraggly big bubbles sulking around the edge of my plastic glass. Dark yellowish orange. Smell of grain and corn squeezin’s. Yeah, there’s plenty of malt in here, but then they threw in more alcohol-producing stuff like corn, fortified wine, ethanol. Tastes better right out of the can, for a good aluminum twang. Not too bad as malt liquors go.
