1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 yesyouam (951) - Fairport, New York, USA - JUL 2, 2008
"Labatt MAX ICE" is a denseand quite sparkling yellow beer with a small foamy white head. The aroma is of corn and alcohol and perhaps some chemicals. It has a foamy medium light body with a slightly gritty finish. It tastes like the aroma: corny and boozy. It has a peppery chemical aftertaste. It’s riot beer. Warning: may cause disorderly conduct charges at sporting events.

24 oz. of goodness packaged in a can labeled MAX ICE. LIght straw color with a tall white head which dissipates and leaves a nice vale of lace. Any chance of the rest of beer being as good as the looks is quickly dashed by the first sniff. Odors of white grapes, grain, corn, bit of perfume and touch of alcohol. Fairly light start with just a bit of pale malt. Fairly thick and respectable feel. Malt liquor flavors come in mid quaff, with corn squeezens, light malt and hints of alcohol. I have this one quite cold and am certainly not going to let this one warm up much prior to most of it clearing out my drain.

24 oz. can from Party Pak. Poured light yellow color with a large white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate grainy aroma. Light body with a thin texture with soft carbonation. Light sweet grainy flavor with a light sweet short finish. Another cold wet alcohol brew with no character.

Has a skunky smell and flavor and leaves a bad taste in your mouth...Taste mostly of corn and skunk. I chuged the 24 oz can I got so I didn’t have to taste it that much.....

The best way to enjoy this beer is by duct-taping a 40oz to each hand and trying to keep them cold before you finish. Choicest brew of the homeless!
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 mabel (4129) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 12, 2008
[1220-20080325] 473mL can. Corn vegetable aroma has a hint of smoky hay. Clear, orange brown body with big quick foamy white bubbles. Burnt hay and straw vegetables. Medium body. Alcohol is hidden at first but kicks in shortly after figuring out the toasty parts.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 Silphium (2711) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2008
No messing around after a long day being preyed on by black flies, mosquitoes, and ticks in Michigan’s great north country. Served in a plastic hotel cup: clear straw body, medium off-white head. Sickly sweet aroma with rough grain notes. The body is sweet and packs a punch, with rough off-flavors and grain husks biting the tongue and piercing the overt sweetness of the cheap additives. Pretty bad stuff that should be illegal, not imported.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rampmaster (643) - Alden, New York, USA - JUN 4, 2008
Presentation: Poured from big 24oz can into a pint glass. It pours a clear golden color. The head is big, foamy and bright white in color, which quickly fades to thin ring around the top. The aroma has a heavy malty character that is bready and biscuity. There is a strong milled corn scent as well. A thick sweet liquor taste and a grainy malt character drive its flavor. Hop flavors are light and add only a light grassy taste and some bitterness to the finish. The carbonation is fairly high but fades and becomes rather slick in texture and its light to medium bodied. Its malty to the max and it will get you loaded quickly and cheaply. Overall it is a passable brew for some serious drinking. (Nice Mad Max reference KeithD)
