2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: FEB 27, 2004 Not a bad beer at all, its still your classic ice beer but this one was better than the rest. Nice flavor for an ice beer as well.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
1.18 L bottle. Poured first 500ml into a pint glass, looks like any other macro beer, a bit more carbonation perhaps. Aroma is of "warm beer" and some bread. On initial swallow there is that cloying somewhat sickening adjunct taste followed by a collapse of the palate and puckering of the mouth into a "WTF was that" grimace. Finish of alcohol and candy. Nary a hop hint.
Let remainder of bottle sit in my hockey bag for an hour and drank semi warm right from the bottle. I think this is where this beer shines, or at least glows slightly. Gulped from the bottle it seems less vile.
Next day, that "cast iron frying pan duct taped to my skull" and slight nausea way out of proportion to the amount of beer consumed feeling was my reward for tackling the "maxmonster"

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
From the.24 fluid ounce can #E02R3105:57. The pour is a heady pale yellow. The aroma is of barley malt, yeast, adjuncts, and a strange sort of hard liquor almost wine-like note. Just odd. The body is light and a little creamy. For a malt liquor I don’t get that cloying sharpness that frequently accompanies this style. Its rather tolerable for what it is.

Canadian MALT LIKKA WHALES. Envious you all are. I know it. You wish you had poured this delicous cat piss into a glass from a big ass can. You wish you had tasted the creamed corn and stale bready notes. Well you didn’t. So sorry.

From the can, high ABV ice beer that smells like grains, tastes like bad tasting grains. Garbage.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Another quality malted likka thanks to Shawn. Typical clear golden pour with a white head. The nose is really grainy and has tons of grape. A lot of sugar, corn, and some grain husk. The flavor is cloyingly sweet. Tons of grain, sugar, grape, and corn. A little grain husk bitterness, some grass, and a light vegetal note.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pale straw-coloured pour. White head. The aroma is lightly sweet with a distinct peppery ethanol character. Light and slightly metallic with a little bit of grassiness. It’s exactly what you’d expect.
