UPDATED: JUN 2, 2008 Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy. Ugly pour - flat, slightly oily pale yellow with a toxic-looking bright white plastic head that won’t go away. Smells (not aroma - smells) like overcooked field corn on the cob that’s been left in a PVC rain barrel in the sun for a week - bleah. Taste not much taste - corn, plastic, green apple, paper, rubbing alcohol .... thin, stings a bit, seriously ugly aftertaste. This is shit.

From a 11.5 fl. oz. bottle with a lot code: A21L84 0400. Pours a watered down golden straw with white carbonated head that dissipates quickly. It is hard to identify the aroma since it is an L-A but I think there are malts in it. Malts are noticeable in the taste but it is also kind of stale. I can’t quite pin it down. If you are going to go L-A, there are much better ones out there

Plain brutal. Never drink this. Non-alcoholic for 1 and watered down urine for 2.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2009 2007 vintage, aged since April of that year. From a charming little 355ml can, this little-known gem pours a delightful pale yellow, with lively, enthusiastically sparkling carbonation. The aroma, increases the expectations of something truly exquisite! The flavour, something else! A combination of classic 2-row barley malt, accompanied by its many friends, "The Usual Suspects" as I like to call them, ascending into literal spirals of sweet complexities. This brew is like a well crafted mystery tale, with many significant background characters. A sure-fire winner, this masterful example of the natural wonder that is the non-alcoholic fermented barley-based beverage defies even the highest of expectations in the most well renowned and experienced connoisseur. Remarkable not for its taste, not for its quality, but for its mere EXISTENCE in our unworthy, mortal realm. The very epitome of complex subtlety in beer. Though it defies all boundaries of petty human languages, being beyond words, I shall attempt to describe this, this, masterpiece of Man, fit for the Gods, or perhaps sent here from Them, in one word. Magnificent. Actually, I will create a new term, purely for this magical creation: "Scrumtralescent".

Ha, a friend brought one over as a joke, and he figured i could get a rating out of it. Same ol’ grainy, corny nose. Cooked vegetal flavour, some slight hops..........meh, sale old labatt. I guess for a non-alcoholic beer it aint bad, but seriously.........its just a blue without the booze. gets a .5 to match the alcohol content!

When considering an IPA or even just a regular ol’ amber lager, this beer is obviously not in the same ballpark, but when stacking this up to other low alcohol brews, this is very good, the aroma & color don’t really give it much points, but the flavor & smoothness of the beer are really excellent for being a pale lager-low alcohol combination, has an inviting sweet finish, very well balanced, good solid flavor, with all things considered this beer is very enjoyable, it’s a great brand for one who cannot have a ’regular’ beer with all the alcohol & whatnot

Canette 355ml.

This is my mom’s standby beer nowadays - usual club-soda impression and funky weird Labatt malt/mystery grain weak flavoring. Awful. Reall no hops to rescue any beer-like enjoyment. The alcohol is also very lacking. ;)
