too all who gave it a bad review, drink some beer before you rate anything, as far as 6.9% beer goes it is great, the slight rasberry taste was a shock ( no pun intended) but refreshing then it has a smooth transition into the beer taste on the palate. I know my beer and this is good, but cant have too much at once .

Originally rated May 2005 (pretty sure these are not made anymore). This is Labatt’s competition to Molson’s Kicks, and a better one it is. It pours a golden colour with a very nice head that has great retention and lacing. The carbonation is under average and slow. The nose is great with a huge floral scent with berries and tart. The start is tarty and hits the guarana berries to then go into this smooth creamy finish and aftertaste. Much more complex then the Molson, and a great starter for an evening. Note: I like beers with fruit notes (which refers to the high score).

Canette.

I had this for the first time last nite. I was at a bar that some mates of mine hang out at, when we got there the owner was like, hey try this out. He poured this new beer into very small glasses (perhaps this was a hint for what was to come). I downed mine (never sipped I know i’m a wanker). It was horrible. The beer was a Labatt Shok, and I must say I am absolutely shocked that after two years of creating this recipe, that this crap is all they could come up with. GARBAGE! However After the fourth or fifth one, it tasted great ;) that and we never paid a cent for the beers. The owner was trying to get rid of them ASAP. Cheers!

Your first slips of this beer give you an unsuportable aftertaste. I had no fun to drink this wannabee beer.

Golden lager with a thin white head. Smeel of cream soda. Rather sweet pop taste with unpleasant hoppy notes and strong alcohol. Horrendous. Mondiale 2005.

Oy! The first two sips are bearable when your mouth is overloaded with the essence of guarana root, but after those first two the cloyingness of the beer takes over and starts to make you feel like you’ve taken up reisdence with an unpleasant experience with a rancid bottle of jagermeister. YIKES!

I think I know why this one comes in a 250 ml can - Nobody could possibly stomach more than that!! Deep golden colour with lots of sediments. Fizzy white head, gone in about 5 seconds. Aroma is reminiscence of Triaminic cough syrup...Except that the cough syrup probably smells better. Very weird stale fruit flavours with a very syrupy mouthfeel. I’d pour it down the drain, but I’m afraid of its effect on the environment.

Another stupid tiny can. The fourth in a series of beers for my own private "Swill Night". I’ve actually had this before and didn’t rate it then so now I have to have it again. Please send get-well cards and wishes to "blankboy" c/o ’RateBeer’. Pours yellow with a few bubbles and a spare white head. Doesn’t look half-bad. Mildly fruity aroma but smells too much of artificial fruit, I don’t care much for it. The flavour, oh...uck..argh..eck...oh god I don’t like this one bit, excuse me I must go rinse my mouth. Oh no, I tried it again, it’s just sooo bad, why did I do that?! It’s so fake and cloying and syrupy and awful and tastes of chemicals. Sorry I must go pour this now. So, so bad.
