With only 88 calories per 341 ml bottle, Labatt Sterling is a light, refreshing beer with 1/3 less calories than regular beers. In other words, it's a great tasting beer...that won't slow you down.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2004 As a beer in general this sucks. But as a light beer with only 2.5g carbs it isn't that bad. Good news for those Atkins peeople out there.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2004 Looks like a macro. Light ring of foam around the glass. Poor corn aroma. Harsh flavour. If you're counting carbs get a calculator and save up for a real beer or as Oakes said about another low carb offering "drink water instead". Tastes like a bad non-alcoholic. An insult to light beers everywhere.

Corn/malt aroma, pale yellow, pours a large, short lived, white head. Slight malt taste. Watery. It's anything but sterling.

Once again I'm the low carb lab rat! Well it looks like Labatt's is trying to jump the band wagon that Sleeman's Clear is on. So who is next on the list to produce the next batch of cheap filth? Light golden colour. Strong pungent aroma. It's hasn't gone off since this beer is new and has had no time to go skunky yet. Sour grass aroma, empty flavour. The White head lasts with constant thin wisps. It does have redemable appearance marks. Somewhat creamy mouth feel which is surprising. Far more drinkable and palatable then Sleeman Clear!! But that isn't saying much.
