3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pawola22 (3108) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 22, 2013
33cl bottle from Brune Rousse Houblon in Nice, France. Pours a clear, pale yellow colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is very floral and fruity with a good amount of vinous white grapes, some yeasty spice, an herbal note, and some lemony citrus notes. Flavor is similar. Vinous white grapes and flowers up front before a light, grainy malt sweetness comes in to balance. A slight herbal note, some yeast, and a bit of a lemony citrus before this finishes dry, vinous and somewhat tart, lightly spiced, and a bit flowery. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a very unique, tweener type of trippel. Fairly floral and vinous, but there is still some spicy yeast characteristics in here. Solid beer.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 erickok (2295) - Tours, FRANCE - APR 23, 2013
An almost clear, pale body with fizzy carbonation and disintegrating head. Herbal hops make a medicinal and tea like aroma that doesn’t really suit me, but more so the body feels very thin, because of the simple malts used. Taste is better, still not very full bit with a refreshing palate and good own character. Ending is somewhat sweet and too simple, but I still like the appeal, even with its light palate. For those who like flowery triples, this is great. For me, it’s a pleasant surprise that I still would won’t buy again soon. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 humlelala (691) - DENMARK - FEB 1, 2013
(33 cl bottle from Saveur Biere; Lot 442; BBD: April 2014) Pours an unclear pale, yellow with floaties and a big, white head. Good retention and lace. Aroma is somewhat yeasty and citrusy with a hint of pepper. No sign of the violet tea unfortunately. Medium body, oily texture, medium carbonation and a short and spicy finish. Taste resembles a tripel although with no trace of lemon or the tea promised. Aroma and taste are decent but the overall impression is disappointing given the appearance and the lack of the interesting adjunct.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rand (1000) - SWITZERLAND - JAN 12, 2013

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 JEK69 (360) - FRANCE - MAY 24, 2012
This beer is supposed to be brewed with violet aromatised tea.
Sorry but I didn’t get this in nose nor in mouth.
It smells more freshly crusjed grapes and Weizenbier flavours than violet. Mouth is unbalanced, too acid, witbeer like palate with a short fruity finish.
Aromatic and palate profile would suit well with a Summertime kind of beer. But this is a 8% ABV beer. Too bad. Not for me !
