Dressed in an orange robe slightly disturbed by the deposit of yeast in the bottle, the Super Power is a hat of white foam compact gives off very fruity aromas. We perceive odors and passion fruit, litchi, citrus and grapes. On the palate, we discover a fruity sweetness wrapped in a pleasant malty roundness. This apparent calm leaves quickly replaced by a hoppy bitterness that powerful moves across the mouth. The bitterness lasts very long and closes with the tasting flavors of lychee and floral hops. Very temperamental, this beer does not compromise but will appeal to fans and the discerning palate bitterness.

(33 cl bottle from Saveur Biere; Lot 439; BBD: April 2014) This violent gusher gets a BIG downgrade on appearance for completely flooding my table immediately after opening and wasting ample amounts of the expensively imported beer. Get your act together it’s not so frigging difficult to make beers that don’t gush, yet yours do it so often, Flamand! Pours a cloudy amber with insane amounts of white head that is tainted by the yeast floaties that the geysir eruption transported to the surface despite the beer having been chilled for 48 hours standing upright in the fridge. Aroma is boring saison yeast, sweat, tartness and maybe some whithered hops. Lively carbonation, very boozy and quite bitter, unpleasant aftertaste and an astringent finish. Flavour is heavily dominated by booze, yeast and bitterness in a rather unharmonic way. Drainpour.

Bottled (gusher warning!). Slightly hazy golden colour with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity, spicy, mildly herbal along with some sweet malts and ome citrusy notes. Flavour is mild toasted malts, some nuttiness as well as spices, fruits and some floral notes. Quite nice bitterness to it, although the herbal notes come in stronger than the fruity hops.

En pression 25cl in proper tulip Hops cafe Appearance: hazy golden amber. Served with Full rich head. Quickly dissipates. Aroma: yeasty, hoppy notes. Musty. Taste: medium sweetness. Some bitterness. Clear golden body with fizzy carbonation and stable white head. Herbal hops, classic fresh grass appeal, light malts, very clear yeast in the background. Very moderate for what you expect from the label. Active, mouth filling carbonation with a medium bitterness and classic hops to try to impress you, but never quite do. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a well made beer with good balance and drinkability, but I can’t help but feel this beer needs some citrus and rich floral hops. What we have, then, is a greatly made Belgian blonde with rich classic craft appeal and a fine bitter ending. Nothing wrong with that, eh? (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Bottle. Starts to slowly crawl up the neck as soon as you pop the cap. Pours an orange amber with a large, white, thick head. Aroma is a lot of lemon and lemon peel, grapefruit as well. Taste is quite sweet with a lot of caramel, light touch of lemon and some lemon peel. Turns a bit resinous with some bready malts in there as well. Dries up on the finish with more citric, grassy and piney flavors. Palate is medium with some carbonation.
