(Bottle). Starts with a hazy amber colour and a medium sized beige head, which is long lasting. Aroma of caramel, toasted malt, berries, dry fruits, and grains. Malty and fruity flavor, with some strong toasty notes, bittersweet and medium body. A pleasant surprise.

Tried in the bottle at a regular lakeside cafe restaurant in San Martin, not claiming to be a beer bar but with about six micro beers for diners. A bittersweet amber ale that could be more aromatic for the bitterness. Not a bad effort.

Superb off-white head shows a perfect definition of belgian lacing with homogeneously shaped fine bubbles. The liquid is sand colored and murky, opaque. Original aromas coming from the ubiquitous and eerie yeast: a blend of grassy hoppiness, ascorbic acids (DMS?), tart and wet (dog hair? cat urine?) almost funky and not unpleasant notes. Malt structure is pretty shy, but pils and munich malt components are noticed. It leaves us with a surprisingly dry concoction, sandy, lightly caramelly with hard to pinpoint flavours. It doesn’t feel too fruity, but apples and apricot are hinted at in spades. Texturally, the carbonation is nice, supporting the soft and light body with constant fresh nourishment. Experimental, some might argue more serious filtration would have been for the best, but I enjoyed this almost traditional taste.
