On tap @ the brewery in La Conner. Pours clear orangish golden with thin lingering head. Aroma is sharp piney hops. Taste is bold floral and pine hops, slightly sweet caramel malts leading to a bitter finish. Tasty.

12 oz bottle courtesy of brewolf. Thanks Michael. Pours a cloudy amber color with a small white head that slowly recedes to a fine film. The aroma is dominated by caramel, and that’s really all I got. The flavor is bitter hops forward with spicy-earthy hops, then the caramel kicks in and there is plenty of it. The palate is silky smooth and the carbonation is lively. Finishes long, dry and leaves a neutral lingering bitterness. Overall: Fans of IPA’s loaded with caramel will love this one. I find it quite tasty.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 madvike (2077) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Yet another interesting bottle from brewolf...thanks Michael! - Pours rosy copper with a huge pillowy off-white head. Wow...really dank hops on this one, garlicy, oniony, weed, lots of earth, sticky pine sap, and rich toffee. Taste has some lightly toasted malt, cocoa notes, and lots of dank herbal hops. Rich, yet smooth. Chewy in the mouth, with a nice warming booziness. Wow...this is great stuff.

12oz bottle poured into my Founders snifter glass. Hazy cloudy amber color with a thin head. Aroma is slightly hoppy and earthy. Flavor is overly hoppy with a hint of citrus. A pretty standard IPA.

Draft: pour from the brewpub. Came an attractive gold color with a good sized white head and lots of lacing. Nose of citrus, flowers, and fruit. Good rich body and wonderfully bitter mouthfeel. Flavor is very intense with lots of citrus. Long bitter finish. Excellent brew.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Aubrey (3343) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - APR 18, 2011
Draft: Gold hue with nice lace. Fruity nose. Tons of juicy citrus, mostly grapefruit, from start to finish. Malts have a little caramel sweetness, but not quite enough to balance things out. Flowery aromas surfaced in the background. Bold bitterness. Decent IPA, and probably my favorite LaConner beer thus far.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 SuzyGreenberg (1603) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 9, 2010
12 oz. bottle from the brewery; pours clear dark orange with foamy white head lingering as bubbles along the edges; aromas of sweet grapefruit, tangerines, white sugar and oranges; very fruit nose overall; thin-ish texture with sugary fruits and very little hop bitterness except for the obvious dryness in the finish; malty sugars, fruity hops and light oranges; on draft at the brewpub it seemed much more full and hoppy with an unfiltered and lighter orange appearance
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beerlando (3342) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2010
12oz. bottle. Pours a medium golden-orange amber color with a small, quickly fading head of smooth, off-white foam. Scattered, random spots of lacing dot the glass. The aroma is of toasted cereal grain and light toffee in the malt base, with ample notes of grapefruit, orange blossom, and some pine hop character. Flavors follow suit, again simple and well balanced, but far from exciting. The grainy malt base is fairly dry, which I appreciate, as it shows just a touch of sweetness and allows what would otherwise be a rather muted grapefruit hop profile to at least show some degree of prominence. Even keeled on the tongue, the body is on the lighter side, shy of medium bodied, though it shows a smoothness throughout and a semi-dry finish. Pretty decent, but nothing more. Average, balanced IPA.
