Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy very pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a malty grainy and slightly grassy aroma with some hoppy hints. Malty grainy flavor with some grassy hints. Slightly sweetish malty grainy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - JAN 30, 2005
Draught, at the brewpub

Hazy straw colour. Appetizing bready malt taste with a pungent, fruity hop character (thought I got some Simcoe, but apparently not). Crisp, grassy bitterness with a hint of lemon and some honeyed, biscuity pale malts. Sweetish finish. This is the PNW’s version of "approachable starter beer".

3fourths (7063) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 6, 2005
Draught at the brewery
Slightly murky yellow, pale in color. Sweet corn and rice nose, more like a Bud or Molson product. Light and wet, flavorless up front, then sour and lager-esque and dry on the back of the tongue. Finish is grainy and corny. Too sour.

Yellow gold color, nice head & spotty lacing. Nose of crisp hops & citrus toasty malts. Taste is balanced & full bodied. Very nice pilsner. Semi-sweet finish.

Draft at the brewpub. The cheerful locals at the bar next to me knocked this beer hard--said dude had had all kinds of problems since reviving it as a regular in the brewing rotation a few months ago. But this keg was delicious for sure. Crystal clear medium yellow with thin grayish head and decent wavy lace. Very little visible carb. Wet grass and leaves on the nose. Mild, softly carbed body. Big grass and hay notes really burst forth on the mid-palate. Fairly short-lived finish, but even that holds plenty of flavor. Dandy, fresh little pils.

12oz bottle. Light gold color, slightly hazy. Very large white foamy head. Aroma is grassy, citrusy, hay and fruit. A medium bodied pilsner. Malts are grassy, fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter and citrusy. Crisp and clean. Light and refreshing. Nice balanced. Very nice summer pilsner. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
