Gromit (449), Port Orchard, Washington, USA Mar 10, 2004 I'm not much of a Pils fan, but this is quite good. The only thing common with others is the appearance.
Scent is of light fruits like banana, almost like a Belgian.
For a Pilsner, the flavor is outstanding. Sweet, yet balanced by a generous dosing of hops. Mouthfeel is thick yet crisp and clean. Overall this is a great beer and an outstanding Pilsner.
HoppedHead (106), seattle, Washington, USA Apr 7, 2005 Pours hazy golden, nose of malts and noble hops, bigger bodied than most pils, gives it a "nw" twist on the classic, big malt flavor balanced w/ herbal, almost spicey hop flavor, delicious! 5000 (2400), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Jan 21, 2005 Bottle pours a very pale golden, somewhat cloudy, large white rocky head, web like lacing, with soft carbonation. Malty nose, somewhat buttery and sweet. Slightly floral as well, and quite sweet about that too. Somewhat thick mouthfeel is what I first notice, almost wheaty. Nice sweet maltiness, with a floral/spicy flair. Yeah, definitely a bit heavier than your normal pilsner, which I really like. Good body, somewhat thick mouthfeel. Finishes with a bit more hops, albeit very soft. Also malty. Nice! Probably one of the better local Pilseners I have had.
omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 22, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Hazy pale golden, brief head. Grassy aroma. Dry and fairly crips with some bready malt. Really hoppy. Spicy bitter finish. A near perfect summer beer. schm1005 (150), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Oct 2, 2003 Clean yet hearty palate, a little dry but still solid microbrew, slightly fruity and spicy hops...Good bold pilsner
