4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Aroma: some cream, roasted cofee beans, chocolate, malts, and some mustiness
Appearance: very dark brown-->black, large tan head, lots of lacing
Flavor: sweet roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, red grape skins
Palate: thick, smooth and creamy, coats lips and inside of mouth, very filling
Overall: this is the best porter I’ve ever had; too bad it isn’t bottled.

Really nice porter - very drinkable. The aroma is great, appearance is great, flavor is great. I like the roasted and chocolote flavors - they were right on. Had it on tap at the Dog & Pony in Renton. This is a great addition to the amazing beer lineup there.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The deScription says there was bakers' chocolate added the this batch and I believe it. Very strong bitter dark chocolate flavor, almost espressoey. Grainy and very roasty - a bit vinous/sticky. This was a great looking beer with a creamy tan head and thick body, I think it could stand a touch more sweet to balance out the strong bitter chocolate but excellent nonetheless.

Off white head. Aroma is all coffee. Very dark red color, almost no light gets through. Light bodied yet creamy. HUGE taste of roasted malts, unbelievable. Also some coffee in there. Good long roasty finish. Has the LaConner house taste.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was a draft pour at the Brewpub in LaConner. Color was dark brown with a tan head and lots of rich lacing. Nose is roasted malts with some chocolate. Medium body with a smooth texture in the mouth. The flavor is roasted malts with a touch of sourness. Bitterness in the finish. True to style and easy drinking.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at the brewery
Rich, smoky dark nose, dusty and creamy. Flavor is sharp bread crust and blak cherries, some really nice roasted plums and blackberries, with a thick chocolate and smoke layer. A little thin on the tongue, though not a big factor. A unique porter.

Pacific Northwest Vacation 2007...
8/18/2007: LaConner Porter was induced with nitrogen and therefore created a dense (super fine bubbles), creamy tan head atop the very deep brown beer. The head lasted for quite some time and produces solid lacing comprised of tiny bubbles. The aroma is creamy, roasty chocolate with a slightly acidic or sour note. The flavor was watered down roasted malt with notes of chocolate and char. It is dry and bordered on ashy. There is a mild to moderater level of bitterness in the finish. This beer was average to above average overall.
Draught (7% ABV) at LaConner Brewing Company in LaConner, Washington. Rating #9 for this beer...
