nesten svart med beigt skum. Mye kaffe og ristet malt i duften. Smaken domineres av kaffe og sjokolade. Godt og fyldig juleĝl som matcher julematen pċ en utmerket mċte.

Bottle 500ml (Vinmonopolet)
Deep ruby color, decent beige head and lace. Caramel, medicinal notes and coffee in the nose. Medium-bodied. Caramel-toffeish, medicinal, a bit toasted and alcoholic. Tolerable but not really my kind of bock.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Manglerud enjoyed at home
Pours quite dark, black in glass, tanned head. Smells of spices, anis, roast, burnt malts and a hint of coffee. Medium sweet, quite roasty, nice coffee aroma with a good kick of spices. Moderate bitter finish. Quite nice!

Tastes artificial, and the taste is not well balanced either. The aroma feels not good at all, and the feeling of christmas doesn´t grow. Ok body.

Pours dark brown with a tanned head. Nose of light caramel malts, sweet. Watery, some roasted malt notes, faint. Disappointing, not worth your money.

I have to admit that I had some prejudice with this beer, Lade Gaards haven’t impressed me at all before, and neither did it this time either. Grumsy brown colour with a fast disappearing head. Aroma have som caramel, but hardly noticable. Watery taste, again some caramel. Thin mouthfeel with a lowbody and carbonation. No good.
