3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, - JUL 17, 2008
Bottled. Blonde, cloudy, foamy head. Flowery clovy aroma with banana. Citrus, banana and a bit of clove in the somewhat grassy flavor. Not bad.

Solid hefeweizen. Nice banana from the yeast. A little sweeter than I like in the style though.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Maria (8589) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2011
It’s unclear golden with a huge, rapidly vanishing head. The aroma has notes of spicy yeas, banana and wheat. The sweet flavour is like the aroma, and the finish is dry. It’s well-balanced, pleasant and harmonious.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - NOV 30, 2010
(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a big and persistent foamy white head. Sweet wheaty and yeasty aroma with notes of citrus, green bananas and bubblegum, accompanied by a shy clovy touch. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly fizzy carbonation. Present wheat-character with notes of banana and citrus; sweet and minimally sour-fruity finish with a whiff of cloves. Quite boring. 20.X.10
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 pivnizub (7240) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 21, 2010
Bottle: Golden, a bit unclear, big - slowly collapsing - white loose head; tart lemony - bananas too - sourish nose with some wheat malt involved; light to moderate sourish-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, soft; slightly lingering sourish finish with lemons and bananas. Not really convincing.......

bottle from toom Aalen. Cloudy pale yellow colour, large white head. Wheaty and yeasty, dry and dusty palate, very slightly fruity. Refreshing and not too fruit-accented.

The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass orange-golden, fine turbid. Starts fine fruity like apricot, nice sourish notes in the background make the beer interesting. A good hefeweizen!

Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours murky to muddy, body is metallic orangy - yellow, milky amber, bright,a lot of yeasts
sediment. Head is white frothy, initially medium but very quickly decreasing and practically diminishing after a 1
min 30 sec. Very poor and faint head impression. Carbonation of the body is weak to moderate.
Aroma: Quite nice, naturally pronounced aroma of yeasts, accidity, gentle alcoholic touch, some notes of
barley malt hidden under a solid wheat base, notes of carrot juice and raspberry, quite nice typically weizen origin
easters, pineapple, clove, banana. Gentle, clean hoppyness, slight nose of graphite.
Flavour: Not a classical Bavarian Hefe - Weizen. No complexity, quite vivid carbonation on palate, gentle
graphite notes, easters, refreshing hoppyness but rather kind of accidic and poor tasting in terms of malty base.
Very salty, mineral taste. Graphite, pale barley grains, some wheat at the background but mainly a strong accidity
reminding me many Pale Lagers. Kind of inferior to the Bavarian Weizens with a pronounced taste but with out
complexity. Finish duration is quite long. .
Palate: Body is medium, texture is almost sandy, carbonation on palate is very lively, finish feel is
accidic, salty, gently astringent, mineral, metalic (lightly) and lightly alcoholic.

Bottle. Lemon, banana and sour wheat malt aroma. Cloudy orange-yellow color with moderate head. Sweet orange-yellow wheat malt flavor followed by a lightly bitter finish. Unusual - usually a weizen smells better than it tastes. This one tastes better than it smells.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Arnie (274) - Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA - JUL 21, 2006
Had this at the brewery in Germany in August, ’05. Thick, rich head. Mild nose, no notable scents. Thick, murky amber color. Flavor was thick, bitter and fruity. Almost hints of banana/pina colada.
