12oz bottle. a work trip to Augusta with a hop, skip, and jump over the Savannah River to SC helped me cross off some long overdue rates. this and the wild raspberry have never made to GA as far as i know. nice find considering itís retired now. hazy dark orange under a small, creamy, off-white head. light, toasty, caramel malt aroma with a hint of peach. flavor is buttery caramel mostly. not the best amber, maybe even a little old, but iím glad i tried it before itís gone forever.

Pretty good beer, but really, itís somewhere between an Amber and a Scottish. Dark amber colored liquid with a good head. Malty with some spice. The flavor and aroma are rather malt-forwardly sweet. There just isnít quite enough flavor from caramelization for a good Scottish ale, so the beer turns out just a tad drab for my tastes. The feel is fairly thick for a beer of this strength. I prefer clean, hoppy Ambers for general drinking, so I canít say that Iíd buy more. However, this is still a pretty good beer and I wouldnít turn down a free one.

Nice malts, little hops. This is decent and many could be consumed at one time. Kinda thin with little depth.

From an old rating note (little scant on the details, but, since itís retired, not going to get another shot at it) - 12oz bottle. Amber pour with light tan head. Sweet malt aroma and nutty taste. Wasnít my favorite.

This one is pretty good. Has a nice brown pour with an off white foam head. The aroma is nutty and roasty with a slight sweet taste of nuts and honey.

Bottle. Pours a very lightly hazed caramel brown with a medium large white head. Light citrus hop, caramel malt, and a touch of grain. Little thin, a bit sweet Ė sort of candy like at first, moving to a more malty back. Finishes with a nice balancing bitterness. HmmÖ had no idea this one was retired. when did this stop getting made? This one says it was bottled first week of JuneÖ makes me think I found an old bottle in my rummages through the back sections of the cooler since I doubt that this was bottled just two months ago, must be the year before.. Kind of neat then.

Crystal clear copper red with a big light tan head. Sheets of lacing. Big caramel aroma, candy apples, other mixed fruitiness. Taste is simple caramel, the fruit is there, with a bitter grassy hop finish.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with a thin head. Aromas are an uninspiring mix of musty grain and wet dog. Chewy and thick caramel malt dominates the flavor with little sidecurrents or other moments to create interest apart from a little bit of nuts. Pretty weak.

Amber color with some head. Not a whole lot of aroma but what there is little malt. Light hop tastes balances with the maltiness.
