COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian abbey-style amber ale with good malt structure, faint undertones of chocolate and a beautiful copper amber hue. This new batch will clock in with moderately strong alcohol and low bitterness levels. Brewmaster Dave suggests pairing it with our burger, moules-frites (mussels and fries), and sausage plate, as well as our fish du jour. Gold Medal Winner!
Originally 6.8% abv, but slowly tweaked up to 8% abv.

Good red. Still just a red, but a good one. My girl ordered it and I liked it so much that i drank more than she did. Beautiful color and nice thick head. Clean crisp malty taste that has floral hops available for the nose and mouth throughout the drink.

Aroma of toasted malts and light caramel. Amber pour with good clarity, white head with average retention. Toasty flavor, light caramel sweetness, some plum and a hint of raisins, fairly subdued overall. Medium body and carbonation.

A: This one pours amber in color with a finger of off-white/khaki colored head. S: An interesting aroma to this one. A touch of banana followed by floral hops. There is certainly some caramel, maybe a bit of toffee and brown sugar, too. Light spices, maybe some other sweet fruits (seems like red apples). T: An almost salty taste and a very off sweetness. Heavy handed on the caramel, not in a good way, with some toasted bread. Minimal hop flavor, a weird, almost tart, berry flavor is also present. M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation. O: Just a really strange flavor and aroma to this. Seems really off.

Draught at the brewpub. Nice amber color. Fruity nose with some cherry and rose water. Malty with nice toasty flavors and a fruity, balanced finish. Nice Belgian amber/dubbel type beer.

Dark tan, thin head. Nose is floral, honey, some berry. Flavor is big yeast, spice, really sweet caramel. Overly sweet for my tastes.
