COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cataclysm comes from the Greek "to wash down" & is an original home-brew creation of Brewer Dave. Straw gold in color with very floral hop notes, it features plenty of Simcoe and Calypso in the recipe. Oats enhance the viscosity and make a smooth-bodied beer you will want to sink your teeth in. Cataclysm is being served on nitro to double down on the soft & creamy texture

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brings notes of lots of pine, grass, zest, lots of biscuit, bready notes in there with a yeasty spice kick in there, slight orange as well. Taste is orange peel, grass, some oaty notes in there with a touch of lemon zest into biscuit, bread, lots of spice and yeast, finishing bitter.

On tap. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a nitro white head and good lace. Aromas are sweet with tangerine, grain, caramel, citrus and light melon. Flavors are very sweet and boozy (feels much bigger than 9%), tangerine, citrus, lightly spicy hop character. Medium bitter. Huge body, medium carbonation. A touch too sticky.

Aroma brings hops, orange and tangerine to the nose. Appears a murky copper/yellow color. Taste is slightly bitter hops with a strong juicy citrus/tangerine/mango flavor to it. Overall, it’s way to fruity and it was served rather warm. Not very enjoyable.

Golden orange pour with a dense white head. Nose is very dank and full of resinous pine notes. There’s a lot of grapefruit peel, some sweet bread, and alcohol. The flavor is a but muted, but is quite bitter, but also quite alcoholic and hot. Lots of resinous pine, grapefruit, and orange peel. Some sweet bread and a touch of solvent.

Pours a cloudy orange color. A bit hazy too. Bitterness is medium and I can’t pin down which hop is more powerful. Oatmeal adds a dimension that works with some sips but not others. Medium good to me.
