Meet Cherrie Brown, our new sour cherry brown ale. Brewed with 16% acidulated barley, a noticeable tang is followed by moderate cherry notes layered over traditional brown ale flavors of toffee, chocolate & caramel. Light bodied with a tart cherry finish that pairs well with holiday dishes. 5.8% abv.

On tap. Medium hazed brown hued pour with an off-white head. Aromas are of fruit, lightly nutty, low chocolate, very earthy. Flavors are nutty, earthy, medium acidity, damp leaves and cherries. Feels a touch strange. Medium carbonation, fuller bodied. Medium sweet finish.

The keg that I got a glass from was a little foamy but I got a good impression of this very cherry beer. Not super sour. Has big cherry notes and then some maltiness. I would have liked a bigger body to it.

Dark brown pour with a small off-white head. Decent cherry aroma, some fruit skin, and toasted malt. A light roasted malt aroma, some chocolate, tartness, and lots of metal. The flavor is intensely metallic, almost like a mouthful of pennies. Semi-sweet malt profile of toast, toffee, and roast. A light nuttiness, decent cherry, and a mild tartness.
