COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
MIDNIGHT SPECIAL -Special Seasonal. ABV 7.2% (120 Shilling). Just in time for winter break and late night toasts, we released our newest seasonal brew - Midnight Special - a strong Scottish-style ale with some special twists. Brewer Dave hand-roasted special malts to add rich color and flavor. And while we’re fond of ageing our beers in wine barrels, this time we put the barrel in the beer! Sacrificial staves of Sauvignon Blanc barrels imparted fire-toasted oak flavors for 12 days, and a nitrogen push finishes the pour with a creamy ivory head.

Another solid entry from Ladyface. Pours pretty dark brown. A very restrained beer. Loads of malt with a bit of a caramel note to it. Super easy to drink with no noticeable alcohol.

Medium dark-beige head over brown-black beer. Smoked, tarry, Rauchmalz, phenolic. Phenolic and very tarry flavour, pitch, long-lasting flavours. Medium to well bodied, oil consistency. Smoke or die...

On tap at brew pub. Not much aroma just faint caramel malts. Dark brown clean frothy head. Taste is full of classic scotch malts and some cocoa goodness. Palate is great very nice body on this enjoyable beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nitro tap at the brewpub. Pours with a clear deep brown body with a milky off-white head. Classic nitro pour. Aromas of brown sugar, caramel, molasses, smoke, dark fruits and a cracker like graininess. Both flavor and aroma are somewhat muted by the nitro. Flavors are very smooth: oats/cereal, smoke, dark fruits and a light (but strong for the style) bitterness. Smooth and very creamy mouthfeel.
