Big citrus aroma that leads to some serious white grapefruit flavors. Mucho tart too. Would be great with cheese. This is a great puckery beer.

A: The pour is a clear golden color with almost no head at all. Some small white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: A mild tartness on the nose, with a little bit of green apple and lemon. Otherwise, it’s pretty wine driven. In fact, it smells mostly like wine. There is a little bit of bready malt aroma, too.
T: Rather bland with a little bit of bread and some watery flavor, which isn’t helped by the low carbonation. Much of the flavor is from the wine itself, not even much oak. Maybe a little bit sour.
M: Watery and thin with a fairly low level of carbonation.
O: Pretty disappointing all around. Not a good mouthfeel at all.

On tap at brewpub. Pours with a hazy golden yellow with small white head. Almost looks like a hefe. Aromas of white wine, some grassy hops, and some grain. Flavors is floral first and sour second. Not really that sour. A good amount of hops for a sour. Enjoyable though.

On tap at the source. I was told that this is a very young sour as of now. Pours with a hazy yellow body and a foamy white head. Aromas of fresh grassy, grapes, passionfruit, horseblanket and funk. Lots of tropical fruit. Smells more like Sauvignon blanc than Chardonnay to me. Flavor is floral first and sour second. Fruity, a but tannic. Not quite as sharp in acidity as I’d like. Very light carbonation. Pretty dry. Nice but the youth shows a bit much for my liking.
