Bière brune des plus classique. Mousse abondante.

Superbe.

On tap @Lagabiere. Aroma: nuts, caramel, roasted malt. App: clear brown with red tint and some lacing. Nice medium head. Fizzy carbonation. Taste and Palate: medium body, light-medium bitter dry finish. Overall: body to thin but still an ok beer.

On tap (5 oz) @ Lagabière

Appearance: Dark amber with a medium off-white/beige head and good lacing.

Aroma: Mild. Toasted malt, nutty presence and light frutiness.

Taste: A bit stronger than aroma. Again, toasted malt and nutty presence. Light fruity presence. Light bitterness.

Palate: Medium body, but a tad watery. Moderate carbonation. Short finish.

Overall: Exactly what you can expect from an average Brown Ale. It lacks depth and body. It’s easy to drink, but bland.

Poured from a tap. Medium brown color, medium off white head nice lacing. Not much of an aroma. Light body with a very faint roasted malt flavor with a light finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Rating #5405)

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2016 My Bottom Line:
Toasted bread leaps from this Brown Ale, luring you in for caramel sweetness, fruity angles and pleasant resinous hop bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam garnishes the hazy ruby brown.
-Mouthfeel is svelte and drinkability high.
-The aroma is nicely developed, which is not commonplace for the style (alas).
-The finish is nicely balanced.
-Smoke and nuts also appear in the flavor profile.

Bottle and on tap at the brewpub.

In short: A nourishing caramelized nutty bronze ale with leafy-resinous hopping. Good.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Clear bronze body topped by a long-lasting small off-white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose rather nutty, moderately roasted and a bit resinous. In mouth the beer has a medium body, a very oily texture and a medium carbonation. Taste is nourishing. Plenty of tasty caramelized almonds. A strong bready character that feels like a mix of toasted whole-wheat bread and fresh oily whole-wheat bread. A generous hopping sticky-juicy and leafy character that brings flavors of fresh tobacco leafs and a mild sensation of hashish resin. Bitterness level in the low-medium range. Weird how my description seems to indicate a kick-ass beer yet it is my least favorite Lagabière I’ve had so far, nothing wrong with the individual flavors but to me the whole was a little less than the sum of its parts. Not Lagabière’s best but still pretty good, this little new brewpub will sure go a long way, already it has almost completed a full trip around the sun.

A copper red ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a smooth nutty malt with roasted character, coffee, musky and nice. In mouth, a nice roasted caramel malt with light vanilla notes, grassy hops, nice and balanced.
