It pours dark amber with frumpy lumpy tan head and spotty lacing. The modest aroma emits dark berry fruity notes as well as modest tartness. The foamy head greets my palate first sending forth a kiss of sweetness before the liquid hits. It begins sweet with sugar drenched cranberries, red apples and a touch of raspberry. Soon after a dash of earthiness, a modest yeasty tart note and cherry sweetened vinegar struggle against the fruity sweetness. Toward the finish the tartness drops out leaving full rounded ripe cherries and plums with skin and all. A slight brown sugar like sweetness surfaces before this thing heads to closure in the after taste. Interesting brew with lots of sweet fruity flavors balanced by tart green apples and yeasty sweet/tart candy. This should be even more interesting with some age as it is a bit bright and disjointed right now. sebletitje (1914), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a deep murky brown with a thick off-white velvety head.
Aroma is sour, vinegary, some light malt and tart fruits.
Flavor, some lingering malt elements, fruity, sour; some cherries coupled with some apple/pear touch. Light prickly mouthfeel with wood elements. Vinegar in the finish with herbal/grassy hints. Warming abv and palate.
Though not perfect, this one is highly drinkable and well executed for a small brewpub.
