Pours mahogany with off white head and some lacing. Powerful spicy malty aroma. Taste of caramel and toffee malts. Wonít find hops here. Very flavorful amber.

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.; thanks DrSilverworm). Looks solid; a somewhat hazy amberish brown with thin off-white lacing. Smells and tastes of caramel hops with a solid, light lagerish mouthfeel. A solid malty lager.

On tap during Ohio Brew Week 2013, taster from Red Brick. Clear red / orange color. Thin off-white head. Few loose splotches of lace. Lighter body. Kind of crisp, sort of soft stronger carbonation. More dry finish. Lightly spicy, with a big tropical fruit aroma. Lighter sweet, light bitter taste. Hint of chocolate... Decent red ale. Just not really my thing.

Sample at the Pint Room on 4/27/13. Clear red/copper pour with a medium beige head. Aroma of malty sweetness. Malty flavor with some honey sweetness and maple before a bready, crisp finish.

This had many attributes I appreciated, especially the slick mouth feel, but itís not quite all the way there. Bread and caramel--light. Overall, a good first showing from an Ohio brewery I have never heard of before. *Whatís up with all these new Ohio breweries? Awesome!

Bottle. Poured a clear light brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Good toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and lively carbonation. Moderate toasted sweet smooth flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good brew.

On tap at Arnies Standing Room Only in Akron, OH. Malty and carbonated. A nice deep red color and a small head. Has a nice taste but I prefer a hoppier red. Might be a west coast thing on my part. Better than a lot of beers Iíve tried in the midwest though. A good clean finish which many malty beers lack. I might have another.

Aroma: Rich vanilla and caramel aroma. Appearance: Cloudy pale orange with a thick white head. Taste:Medium sweetness tempered by a light bitterness with a hint of sour in the finish. Palate: Medium body, thick, creamy texture, soft carbonation, long mellow finish. Overall: I wasnít completely blown away, but it was something I could see having a few bottles of while grilling up some ribs or chicken. Itís a decent beer, and worth trying.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of bready malt, caramel and grassy hops. The finish is malty with a sweet aftertaste. Decent overall.

From a bomber with a pretty cool label, heheh. From the start Iíll say its on style, i just donít care much for stronger amber ales. Probably should be in the red ale style cause it comes across irish. Big brown somewhat hazey pour. Fairly attractive sweet aroma. Almost offensive but not quite there. Large personna malty initial flavor. Barely any CO2. Yes malty, quite malty alky milky. Bitter medicinal hang. Grows on yah, gets better and more freindly near the bottom of the bomber. heh!
