4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 erickok (2374) - Tours, FRANCE - MAR 1, 2013
Deep brown body, somewhat hazy and with frothy light tan head. Looks really nice. Very pleasant hop aroma with forest smells, tropical fruit, bit of fermentation going on, humous malts as backbone. Very autumn like yet hopped and not sweet and dark like your typical autumn drink. Strong bitterness, with only just enough malts to back it up. Rich tasting ending. This might be the first French beer I’ve even had that is perhaps too bitter and too big hopped. Well, I’m not complaining! (75cl bottle from Bière Révolution)

75cl bottle. Hazy brown with low to medium grey head. Nose : tart, agrumes, citrus zest, toffee. Sip : oily texture, low carbonation. Medium texture. Sweet tart flavour. Some toffee. Fruity taste is well balanced. Good beer , reminds Imperial IPA and double belgian. OK.

amber color, with good offwhite head. Resinous and earthy danky hop nose, caramel, dank, earhy american hops. Nice body and slightly less than average bittereness with regards to style. A really nice surprice.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JoeMcPhee (7671) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 25, 2012
Thanks to fiulijn for this one. Amber pour with a thick off-white head. The aroma is a little bit earthy and musky. Hoppy but with that dank sort of character you get from using a ton of UK hops. There is a little bit of light orange peel and some stewed fruit in addition to a toasted malt base as well. Some herbal/spicy character as well. There is a little bit of oxidation as well that lends a bit of a cardboardy character to the base of the beer. There’s a little bit of lingering bitterness as well. Decent brew, but could be better.
