Dark brown bodied beer worth big foamy, big bubbly head. Clear mocha aromas, some dry stout notes, pecan nut, Belgian yeast and nutmeg. Interesting mix, I would almost call it a Belgian stout (as variation on Belgian IPA’s) with its sweaty yeast character on top of the raw hop. However it’s never a very full beer in terms of mouth feel and richness of taste. The carbonation and essentially low malt backbone give a bit of a watery feeling, even though it’s rich enough for the abv. Drinking so many awesome (thick, imperial) stouts makes you spoiled, I suppose. To be fair, it’s well made and tasty and I’d drink it more often, certainly. Especially nice aftertaste with more pronounced hops. At 5,5% it’s a great drinkable dark ale. Recommended. (33cl bottle from Bière Révolution)

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, bread, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of matl, caramel, and bread, as well as a lighter note of soy sauce, leading to a dry finish, where the bread note lingers.

courtesy of Laurent Mousson; labeled Bière brune - hazy dark brown colour with a solid foamy beige head; nice lacework; very toasted biscuity aroma, notes of coffee and toffee; quite thin-bodied and a fresh palate, a respectable bitterness and a long biscuity, coffeish aftertaste; light fruity notes - a nice one
