Hummmmm !!!

Bottle, 33cL. 4,5% alc. Vol. Tasting over 10°C. A dark beer whith brown hues at the bottom of my glass. Beige big creamy head with a a good retention. Aroma of coffee, roast, dark fruits, red berries, herbs. Light sweet, medium evolving dry bitter, acid note. Medium body, thin silky texture, soft carbonation, herbal bitter lasting finish. Overall, a good surprise : beautiful, surprising complex delicious aroma. TAste doesn’t try to "push" or impress. Definitely a good one !

Dark brown bodied beer worth big foamy, big bubbly head. Clear mocha aromas, some dry stout notes, pecan nut, Belgian yeast and nutmeg. Interesting mix, I would almost call it a Belgian stout (as variation on Belgian IPA’s) with its sweaty yeast character on top of the raw hop. However it’s never a very full beer in terms of mouth feel and richness of taste. The carbonation and essentially low malt backbone give a bit of a watery feeling, even though it’s rich enough for the abv. Drinking so many awesome (thick, imperial) stouts makes you spoiled, I suppose. To be fair, it’s well made and tasty and I’d drink it more often, certainly. Especially nice aftertaste with more pronounced hops. At 5,5% it’s a great drinkable dark ale. Recommended. (33cl bottle from Bière Révolution)

courtesy of Laurent Mousson; labeled Bière brune - hazy dark brown colour with a solid foamy beige head; nice lacework; very toasted biscuity aroma, notes of coffee and toffee; quite thin-bodied and a fresh palate, a respectable bitterness and a long biscuity, coffeish aftertaste; light fruity notes - a nice one

Bouteille 33cl; BB 26/12/2014.
