Amber pour with a khaki head. Floral and grapefruit zest hop aromas. Some sweet bread and a bit of toast. Light pine on the back end. Flavor is a bit watery and sweet, but there is some grapefruit and floral hop notes. A mild bitterness on the finish.

Bottle. Shared with S&G. APPEARANCE: clouded dark blond beer, small unstable white head. NOSE: caramel, little hoppy. TASTE: caramel, burned malts, boring actually.

ClubGonzo (3512) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 7, 2013
Bottle from Les Fleurs du Malt, Lyon. Pours a deep hazy orange body with a massive cloudy white head. Aroma is earthy leaves, pine, grass and hints of herbs and grains in the back. Taste is peaches, grass, mild piny tones, hints of grains and citric peel. Medium body and carbonation. Very understated IPA, which kinda feels English despite the use of American hops. OK.

Bottle at Delirium Hoppy Loft. Dark brown, pretty orange tints, lacy. Nose of caramel, chocolate, grass. Flavor is citrus and minerals, chocolate and caramel. Nice, a hoppy brown ale more than IPA. Good malts, tasty hops.

33cl bottle (6.2%), thanks to sebletitje, pours with clear copper body that supports a tall off white head of foam. The mild aroma is resiny with pine hops as well as faint and nearly vague citrus hop notes and a just noticeable sweet maltiness in the background. The taste starts off with a mix of pine and grapefruit hop bitterness and modest hop flavor. It then heads into malt sweetened citrus hop flavor before the grapefruit and pine take over again with hop bitterness into the finish. Solid stuff that doesn’t try to do too much and gets it right. Nice IPA.
6K!

(Rating #4911)

Small beige head. Hazy amber body with light carbonation. Minty tropical fruit and blackberry aroma with herbal notes. Dry-sweet resiny tropical fruit taste with chalky gooseberry notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, chalky mouthfeel. Dry resiny gooseberry aftertaste with earthy chalky peppery notes. Nice, drinkable, could be cleaner. (0.33l bottle, Couleurs de Biere, Montpellier.)

Bottle at home, 22nd June 2013, miserable cold summer day for an IPA. This is a little limp, like the weather, not enough hops or bitterness for me, a little better as it warmed up, there are much better French iPAs right now
