| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 13, 2009 Shared a 22oz bomber with MereLikesBeer. This poured a clear darker yellow, with an off white head. The aroma is quite hoppy, but not overbearing. The flavor is also pleasantly hoppy, with some piney notes, and a hint of smokeyness. I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. Cheers! Grovlam (3881), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 13, 2009 bottle. Large creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Clear light golden color. Peach, grapefruit, citrus, floral, light perfume. Over the palate came light caramel and pineapple. Medium bodied, average carbonation, dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Bitter dry pineapple finish. MereLikesBeer (158), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 13, 2009 This beer is great. Hands down, I am a fan. It’s got a pretty good price point, a pretty good taste point, and I certainly have not met a Lagunitas that I don’t like. It poured a dark golden color with and off white head that wasn’t very thick. It smelled floral and hoppy. For an "American Ale" it is a lot like an IPA. I don’t really understand why they won’t just call it an IPA. Either way, it tastes great. It has a really hoppy flavor and is sweet, and not too fruity... very well balanced. It’s got a lot going for it. ansermadide (537), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2009 Bomber from HEB on June 13, 2009. Not a double IPA, but has its fair share of hops... that’s for sure! It has a BEAUTIFUL hop aroma, golden orange color with an almost syrup-like thick look to it, a crazy refreshing hop flavor with low bitterness... but still LOTS of hops for such a light/low alc beer. If Lagunitas sold this in 6 packs I think this would be my new staple. I love it. Hangover (773), Atlanta, USA

Hoppy flavor, citrus, grapefruit and orange, a light sweetness. Citrus finish, lingering orange. gorditoabd (174), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2009 22 oz bottle. Pours a nice amber color with 2 fingers or so of white head. Aroma is of pine resin, hops, malt and fruit. Burst of hoppy flavor right from the jump, strong but not overwhelming. Grapefruit bittersweetness is most notable. The mouthfeel is solid and the flavor is lasting, but doesn’t move or change much as it settles on the tongue. A real solid offering. blklab2007 (987), Connecticut, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 12, 2009 22 oz bottle poured a light caramel golden in color with a thin white head. aroma bursts out with grapefruit and citrus hops, sweet tropical fruit, and sticky resins. flavor has the same delicious grapefruit and tropical fruit, little more dryness, coating sweet resins, and the right dose of sweet malts. really nice juiciness to the hops and a lingering finish. not sure how this is a pale ale but it is nice and tasty either way.
