This is NOT a Double IPA - It’s just a good American Ale.

Pours a nice coppuer with a foamy white head. Aroma is citrus, hops, pine, malt. Really digging the hop freshness in the aroma. Flavor is citrusy oily hops, malt, nice bitter citrusy grapefruity finish. Very fresh hop profile, realy diggin this one. Well done Lagunitas.

A nice beer by Lagunitas. I now understand the "soapy" adjective in beer. Aroma was very piney, citrus and soapy. Pour was a nice dark gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was very thin, but very bitter and warm. Soap, hard pine and lemony citrus with a Palmolive aftertaste. Tastes like I’m drinking an IPA from a glass that was still soapy and not rinsed out enough (which is not the case).

Very dry and a bit overly bitter & coppery for my taste. Hazy dark yellow pour. A decent brew, but nothing extraordinary.

22 oz. bottle Says 6.33 abv - Wouldn’t call it an American Strong Ale - Appearance: Pours a clear amber gold with an offwhite creamy head. Aroma: Orange and grapefruit peel right off the bat. Also some sweet tangerine and pine notes as well. Taste: Bitter, citrusy, and earthy hop notes. A modest level of crystal malt holds it together. Mouthfeel: Thick, in that unique Lagunitas thick sorta way. Overall: Tastey, bitter, citrusy 1.5 IPA. See, the bottle says it is not a Double IPA, just a good American beer. I’ll go with that.
