Lagunitas 2009 Correction Ale

Poured from a bomber, purchased in Littleton, CO. Aroma- Piney resin, high hop aroma, berry-like esters. Appearance- Light orange in color. Sturdy off-white head, some chill haze. Flavor- Low-medium sweetness, Low malt flavor. High Pine hop flavor, very nice. Some fruity esters. Palate- On the dryer side, yet still has lots of body. High carbonation. Overall- Great showcase of hops, yeast adds a nice fruity flavor, but there is no malt character to speak of and it’s over-carbonated. Great overall beer.

Pine, floral, and sour fruit aroma. Golden-Amber with light white head; decent lacing. Apricot, pine, mild grapefruit, and lemon flavours. Balanced, zesty, and light bodied.

Pours a merky golden color with a white foamy head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Taste is very hoppy with a lemon lime finish. A very nice ale

The label here is pretty entertaining with the whole 401k, 301k, 201k deal and the "this is not a double IPA". I mean it tasted eerily similar to one but call it what you will. Pour was a transparent orange with plenty of bubbly carbonation. Grassy hop aroma, piney hop flavor and sticky resiny hop finish. A bit of citrus working itself through as well, some orange. Pretty enjoyable overall. Toned down sweetness but still present enough to make itself known. This rating was sort of an unceremonious milestone but after 11 others, who the hell is counting here. beer 1200!

22oz bottle, 9/6/09. A very delicous non-IPA. I will most definitely buy and try again. Another strong showing by Lagunitas.

Another nice smelling brew. Pineapple among some other fruits. Very easy to drink, a present but not overpowering hop bite to it, and an overall tasty floral citrus character. excellent stuff.

first time i had this i was drunk and brown bagged it just for kicks and loved it, made a note to sit down, pour, sniff, pretend i know what im talking about and actually enjoy this because it was delicious. that day was today... pours byouuuutifully with a baby thick head. smells like a spruce tree and tastes like a weak IPA. its not overwhelmingly strong and thats a good thing. tastes of hoppy, earthy tones with a hint of orange/tangerine and goes down smooooooth. easy to drink with no peatmoss and too hoppy gross aftertaste. very very good, ill get it again as soon as i can just for the bottle which was pretty neat.

Another nice one from Lagunitas. Golden/amber look. nice balance of earthy pine and citrus notes the the hop/mix produces faint pepper and metalic notes.
