stobbe74 (655), Denmark Nov 1, 2009 Bottle, 12 fl. oz. Pours a clear golden beer with a small offwhite head. The aroma is hops (american). The flavor follows the nose. The palate is good rounded bitterness. Overall a good beer. Adenila (931), Denmark Oct 28, 2009 Clear orange look with a small baige head. Aroma is nice of citrus and sweet orange with a good amount of caramel. Tasty crisp flavor with a medium bitterness and orange sweetness. beerbill (1917), Laurel, New York, USA Oct 24, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold with a creamy linen white head that lingered until just about mid-glass. Pleasant aroma of malt, lemon and orange. The flavor is somewhat grainy malt with lemon and orange along with some moderate citrus pith bitterness at the finish. Dries out a bit towards the finish as well. Good stuff. austone (998), Turku; Pori, Finland Oct 23, 2009 Bottled. Light amber, tiny disappearing pale head. Nose is mild pine, lots of sweet toffee and some pineapple. Flavor has moderate, mostly resiny hops, minerals, caramel malt, strong bitterness. Pretty strongly carbonated palate. Aroma hops seem to have faded a bit, not as fresh as one’d hope. But still drank just fine. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Oct 22, 2009 Clear light amber color with a white head. Nice big piney, floral hop aromas. Medium body. Hop driven flavor is bitter pine, lightly sweet florals on a thin pale malt base. EithCubes (2140), Indiana, USA Oct 16, 2009 Bottle. Huge piny hop presence with medium caramel and a lot of grapefruit and lychee. A little doughy malt, oily resin and just lots of bright, cheery punch. Dull, clear orange body with a lacing, spoonable beige head. Taste is bitter and, forgive my flippancy, exactly like all the other Lagunitas offerings (hop bombs) I’ve had, save the substitution of a sunnier hop profile for the overdense caramel and brown sugar. Very dry (bone) aftertaste. Alcohol is strong but not too burny, medium-full body and still a hell of a lot of fun to drink! BückDich (4785), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 8, 2009 Bottle: Pours a nice orange color with light head. The nose is very bright and grassy with orange and lemon, a touch of light malts too. The flavor is hoppy too with a light bitterness, medium body and a light mouthfeel. A bit of toasty resin towards the back of the tongue. Straightforward. brewski519 (395), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Oct 7, 2009 Sampled at WBF in Duham - pours a golden color - much lighter than many IPAs I have had lately. The aroma is very typical Lagunitas - tons of hops and tons of citrus. Very tasty IPA that tastes just like it smells - hops and grapefruit - with some piney aftertaste. This was a signature Lagunitas brew for sure.
